The Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary is one of the richest ecosystems on the planet. The sanctuary is home to twenty-six federally listed endangered or threatened species, including Marbled Murrelets, and the Leatherback Sea Turtle. Part of the planet's only recovering Blue Whale population regularly feeds in the sanctuary. Northern Elephant Seals, California and Steller Sea Lions breed or feed here, and Northern Fur Seals have resumed breeding on the islands for the first time in over 150 years.

Safely aboard our Coast Guard certified vessel, the experienced captain and crew will guide you through San Francisco Bay and out into the Pacific. An expert naturalist will be on hand to narrate what you see and answer any questions you may have. Nature is unscripted and every trip is different. But, the view of the California Coast is always stunning, and the experience of passing beneath the Golden Gate Bridge is unforgettable.

Trips leave the dock at 8am and return between 2-3pm.

Attention whale watchers please prepare for an extreme offshore adventure! This will not be a boat cruise in the bay rather an extensive search for whales and wildlife in their natural habitat up to 27 miles offshore. This adventure can often become wet and wild so hold onto your hats folks and prepare for an amazing excursion into the wild!
