- Current Tours: ALL Trips are Farallon Island Destination Natural
History Expeditions. Sometimes at the descretion of the captain, we
can not make it to the islands and we take a coastal trip north towards
the Point Reyes Lighthouse. This happens mostly in the spring months.
- All trips leave at 8:00 am and return in between 3:00 and 4:00 PM.
- The current cost for trips is $110.00 due to the high cost of gas.
- Look at the Migration page for a general description of when the
different types of whales migrate through the area. This is a lose
base schedule, and the whales don't necessarily follow it, but it
gives us a guideline based on passed experiences.
Notes:All Whale Watching trips go under the Golden Gate Bridge and
pass the Point Bonita Light House returning with a spectacular view
of the California Coast. If the weather comes up or the seas are too
rough to go to the Farallon Islands, the Captain may go up the California
Coast towards Point Reyes staying in the Gulf of the Farallones at his
descretion. This usually only happens in the spring. Private Charters
available. Make your reservations as early as possible as these trips
WILL fill up. Call with any and all questions, but please try and make
your reservations online by clicking on the dates below. Click Add to
Cart for each passenger in your party! Be sure to print out the trips

SUMMER 2007 - SPECIAL CONTINENTAL SHELF TOURS.
These trips go to the Farallon Islands and past to nearby edges of
the continental shelf, last 8 hours and usually involved special sitings.
Last years we spotted Blue Whales, Humpbacks and Pacific White-Sided
Dolphins. These trips are longer and explore further. In 2004 we had
very successful expeditions seeing Blue Whales, Dolphin, Humpbacks
feeding, breeching, and forming bait balls. There is also the opportunity
to see Albatross, Tufted Puffins and other seabirds. and other visitors
to the Gulf of the Farallones.
San
Francisco Bay Whale Watching Gift Certificates are available and
are popular gifts.You
can buy your gift certificate online. Gift Certificates are redeemable
for one year. We are pretty understanding, but Gift Certificates are
not refundable.
The Farallon Islands are 27 miles off the coast of San Francisco in
the Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary. This Sanctuary
is a haven for whales, sharks, sea birds, many kinds of jellyfish
and sea lions. We have witnessed white shark feedings during white
shark season in the fall. These feedings are very exciting and last
about 20 minutes. NOTE: On days we have scheduled the Farallon Island
Tours, if the weather is bad or conditions rough, we MAY decide to
head North to Point Reyes instead.
Besides whale watching we also offer private charters for groups doing:
- Birdwatching tours
- Photography Expeditions
- Lighthouse Tours
- Coastal tours
- Birdwatching tours
- Private Charters
- Corporate Offsites
